Slow Down
Spring Break! Everyone keeps saying after spring break school will be over before you know it and you'll be graduating. Then they say once you get out of high school your life will fly by. College will be a breeze and you will do just great and your life has really begun. Then they say once you get married how fast time goes with your love and how you can't believe you've already been married for 5 years when it feels like only 6 months. They they say when you have kids time sure does fly. You're taking them home from the hospital and then the next day they are graduating from high school. Then they say life with your grand babies sure does fly by. By the time you get your first grand kid it's only a year and you have 6 grand kids. Why is it people are always saying time flys? I have loved high school. I've loved just about everything about it. I've been involved in everything I can think of, made tons of friends and did well in school. So why can't this last just a little longer? Or when I'm a newlywed why can't that seem like an eternity? It seems like a good thing to last and drag out for a long time. It seems to me every road mark I hit some one is telling me to enjoy it because it won't last for long. I'm excited for college and moving on with my life but I'm really enjoying this right now. I start college in June and according to everyone else your life is pretty much over after you start college. I dont want a negative attitude like that. Life isnt over. I'll get married and live somewhere in the country being a nurse and he'll be some hot farmer/ bull rider/ cage fighter who will be rich and did I mention hot? and we will live happily ever after. I guess im just sick of people telling me this is where we grow up, life really starts after this. you arent a kid anymore. havent i already grown up? i've never had anyone hold my hand to do anything, i'll be a nurse in 2 and a half years so what more is there to do? I believe I can successfully pay a couple bills every month without being told to.
