Good job sketchers. You stole one of the best ideas and turned it into something for you and trying to be a bigger and better company than others. Your shoes are awful. No one buys them for a reason. Why would they buy them to send to poor kids in other countries that has no shoes when they suck? They are cheaply made and pathetic. Not the poor kids... the shoes. It was Toms ideas in the first place, everyone fell in love with it therefore went out and bought Toms shoes. But you. Now you are trying to one up Toms and give 2 pairs of shoes out for every one that is bought. Pitiful. What made you think it was okay to steal someones idea? I think you will quickly realize that your idea will never work. People aren't going to support you. They will support Toms over you any day. Now here is the other dilemma. Should people really be freaking out about Sketchers? Sure it was Toms idea first but in the end all that matters is if these kids have shoes on their feet right? who cares if it's Toms or Sketchers or the old lady next door. As long as these kids are getting help we shouldn't complain. I can't imagine what it would be like to live without shoes on my feet. These kids need shoes. It will help keep them from infection and living dirty lives. Not even counting the amount of comfort they will have when they can go out and walk with a pair of shoes on. So here is what I think. Sketchers was stupid for stealing the idea from Toms and trying to make it a better thing that Toms had, but in the end kids are still getting shoes which is the most important for this cause.

The Alchemyst
The boy of Santiago is ridiculous. I think he needs to figure out what he wants in life. I'm proud of him for leaving his family and their dreams when he had dreams of his own but now he has one dream and he thinks it's a sign from God. He believes in following Omens. Which I don't believe in at all. I do believe there is a greater force outside this world that we can't comprehend or express but it's God. I don't think every time we see butterflies something good is going to happen to us. That's just ridiculous. It's superstitious. The same way we don't crawl in a whole every time a Friday lands on the 13Th. We go about our days and live normally. This boy is giving up everything he has for something better. Why can he not be content with his life as a Shepard. He talks about how much he loves it but once the chance for something better comes along he's quick to grab it. Does he really love his life as a Shepard then? Or does he worry about what the daughter of the merchant will think when he tells her how he's searching for treasure and thinks he will be a rich man someday? I had a dream last night, it was not a good dream but I had a dream. Does this mean it's going to come true? Should I go to gypsies for a palm reading just to hear what they think it means? NO! Dreams happen because of things we have thought about over the last couple weeks. It's your brain trying to sort all of the information you put away and it takes all those events and information and sorts it out and when you dream that's your brain trying to figure out where everything goes. Simple as that. Now I know this is a fictional story but come one kid. You've sold everything you had to get it stolen within 5 minutes. Now what? What do your omens say about that?
