Fun!

These last few days have been very busy and crazy! With VBS and my fourth of July party coming up I have been going wild! So today I decided to spend some time with a good friend. Christin is her name and she lives in the wonderful city of Fair Grove. We started the day off with an all girl swim and some of our friends came over. We had some good 'ole pizza! Then we went to this little cafe that I absolutely love! Its called Odd Fellows cafe. The other night we went in there and played poker with some friends for almost 3 hours. Today we went in and ordered some coffee and played scrabble for a bit! Afterwards we went thrift store shopping. This is only my second time thrift store shopping but I had a lot of fun! I got a deck of cards for only 50 cents! I know right! Christin bought a few books on single parenting since she will be needing those soon. :) kidding but we did buy them as a joke. Its so nice to just sit back and relax and enjoy some friends.

Tomorrow is suck day. We are having a huge party which is a blast but its the preperation before hand that makes it suck day. We will have around 50 people over and its a really good time! I love it but like I said once it gets here then in is the best part. I love this holiday! Its my favorite of them all!

SUMMER:)

For me this is one of the best times of the year! SUMMER! I have 3 months of FUN! My favorite thing to do though is sleep in! So far this week I have been averaging a wake up time of 1:00 p.m.! Its lovely! But summer is also I really serious time for me. Im going on a mission trip to Denver, Colorado! This will be my 4th trip to Denver. I have grown really close to some of the people there but every year I come into contact with tons of new people who are searching for God. Im nervous every year I go but for some reason I have different nerves this year. Me and some friends were talking and we really think that God is going to do something HUGE this year, that makes me nervous. Im really excited dont get me wrong but I also know I will have to get out of my comfort zone, which is one thing I dont like to do. We have found out that we will be working with Burmee refugees. They are a people group out of China and they fled to Denver. There is only about 50 of them but they dont speak english. That is going to be a huge barrier to break. They have house churches which is awesome but we are going to try to work with the kids and do a VBS and also a sports camp. Im really excited to see what God has planned for all of us. I wont be able to sleep in while in Denver so pray for me! haha

Tonight we have more VBS to attend to. Its a lot of fun to invest in the kids and to really get to know them. They are a lot of fun! Summer has so many great things planned. The fourth of July is quickly approaching and it is my favorite holiday! Which other holiday do you get an excuse to blow things up? My family has a great party and its filled with family and friends. Of course every year the kids put on a balloon fight which is a blast. Its really nice to get together with everyone for a few hours and just relax and enjoy each other.

The Movie Song?

Welp as you have noticed thats the title of my blog. Kinda random right? Well there is a band called Emery thats punk/screamo christian. They have a song title named The Movie Song. It talks about how this guy is the character in the movie who dies at the begginning of the movie and how he never makes it out of a cave. It talks about how he has it all made but then someone comes and snatches it all away from him. Me personally I have tons of days that are just great but then there is one day that really sucks and it seems I have to start over from the bottom again. The devil sucks. He is doing all that he can to ruin my life right now. For instance, I cant get my picture to load on here. He is always looking for things to put me in a bad mood or to get me out of rhythm. The thing that matters though is how we react to the devil. If I just gave up everytime he was able to attack me I would allow him to win and thats exactly what he wants. We need to stop looking at all the negative and realize that we aren't going to win every battle. There is going to be times in life that suck and sometimes we cant stop them but other times we can bounce right back and get on track. I just want to have a positive attitude and be ready for God to use me.
