Stuck In Time
Why do we seem to always want to move on to the next bigger and better thing? Our whole lives we spend trying to get through one obstacle just to move on to the next. Why can't we just be content where we are and enjoy it for a little while? When we are children we look forward to being a big kid, going to kindergarten. From there we work our way up and want to be in middle school. By the time we're in middle school we think all our problems will be solved once we get to high school. Then when we get to highschool we'll realize all our problems have just begun. 4 years of highschool and we count down everyday of it. Waiting and wishing for graduation to come along a little faster each day. After high school tho we move on to college which we'll want to speed through as well. After college we're in the race to get the best job, hottest spouse, coolest car, nicest dog and the most kids. We are we all competing? They say these four years will be the best ones we have, if they are then why is no one happy about being in these four years? why do we keep wishing them away? We need to realize every single day we have here in high school is going to be bitter sweet some day. We need to sit back and not wish it away, look around and try to enjoy these years while we have them, it won't be long and they'll be gone. We'll show up at our 20 year reunion and wonder who everyone is, thinking, wow, i went to school with these people my whole life and now, i cant even tell you one thing about them. Pitiful isn't it? How we are all so selfish to not even care or realize the people that are around us everyday. We need to make memories while we can, these are some of the best days we'll ever get.
